Lady GaGa has admitted she and Kanye West spoke to each other before deciding to cancel their Fame Kills tour.
The North American jaunt was due to begin next month, but promoters Live Nation announced on Friday that it had been scrapped.
The cancellation came just weeks after West attracted criticism for interrupting Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards.
In an interview at Billboard Women in Music, Lady GaGa told reporters: “We mutually decided to cancel the tour. He's going to take some time off, but I'm not.
“I'll be leaving just a week later than I was supposed to on my own solo tour. It will be the same places. So I will see you guys there."
The singer added: “Kanye and I talked about it. We talked about it a lot, as well as with Live Nation.”
West had already expressed a desire to step aware from music following his outburst at the VMAs last month.
