Mogwai have discussed their plans for the follow up album to 'A Hawk Is Howling' as well as their hopes for an extensive touring schedule.
Speaking to BBC6Music Stuart Braithwaite said, “We’ve earmarked all of next year for doing it", before adding:
“I think that everyone’s trying out things at home and probably early next year, we’ll get together and laugh at how bad everybody’s attempts at making music are.”
The album, set to be recorded in 2010, will be released on the bands own Rock Action label and Braithwaite is hoping to see more of the road on the bands next tour.
He added: “When we do a new record we’ll probably come and play everywhere for a change.”
