An essay Sir Paul McCartney wrote when he was ten has been discovered in Liverpool's Central Library.
Written over fifty years ago in 1953, McCartney writes about the royal family stating that the “present day royalty rules with affection rather than force”.
The ten year old McCartney also writes about the “Lovely young Queen Elizabeth” and his idea for a Coronation cup featuring Elizabeth I on the front and Elizabeth II on the back.
Liverpool Central Library will display the letter in 2013 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Coronation.
