Lily Allen's publicist has played down the singer's claim that she is quitting music.
Allen posted a message on her blog on Thursday saying she had not renegotiated her record contract and had “no plans to make another record”.
However, Allen's publicist has since told the Press Association: “Lily is not retiring from music.
''She is still promoting her current album which is why she said she is not thinking about her next record right now.''
Allen's comments yesterday came just hours before the star attended an emergency meeting of musicians to discuss the issue of illegal file-sharing.
The singer, who had earlier said she wouldn't attend the event, was cheered by her peers as she arrived for the debate.
Following three hours of talks, it was decided that persistent file-sharers should have their bandwidth squeezed by their Internet Service Providers.
