The Beatles have sold an astonishing 2.25million copies of their remastered albums in just one week in North America, Japan and the UK.
Proving their enduring appeal, the Fab Four have also set a string of chart records during their first seven days of sales.
On the US Billboard chart The Beatles set a new record for the most simultaneous titles by an artist with 18 – five of which were in the top 10.
In Canada the band had 15 albums in the top 20, including all of the top 11, while in Japan all 14 remastered albums appeared in the top 25 of the international chart.
As previously reported, four of the albums were in the top 10 of the chart and 16 were in the top 75 setting a record for the most simultaneous charting albums for an artist.
The Beatles have now sold 6.7million records in the UK alone this decade.
This Saturday (September 26) also marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the band's 11th studio album 'Abbey Road' which will further boost their sales.
