The ego has landed – Justin Hawkins is pissed off that The Darkness weren’t nominated for a single BRIT Award this year despite winning three in 2004.
Speaking to Radio 1 – the ugliest man in rock – revealed his anger, especially the fact that the band weren’t recognised in the Best Live Act category. He said: "I'm bitter about the Brits, I really am."
"We've sold 130,000 tickets for thirteen dates. It's more than anybody else that year and we weren't nominated. I see that as a snub, I think the British music industry has learnt from what we've done and said 'Right, we've learnt from them now let's discard them'."
"Well **** you. We're coming back and there's nothing you can do about it." He added. Erm, you seem to have missed the point there Justin – the category is Best Live Act, not who can sell the most tickets. Obviously your gigs were shit!
