Eminem will take part in this Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards in New York, it's been announced.
The rapper is to make a “special appearance” at the event, although it is not clear if he will perform.
Eminem, who walked out of the MTV Movie Awards earlier this year after Sacha Baron Cohen landed on his face, has been shortlisted for four prizes.
Meanwhile, MTV has announced that Jay-Z will also perform at the ceremony alongside Alicia Keys.
The pair will sing 'Empire State Of Mind' from the rapper's new album 'The Blueprint 3'.
Other nominees at this year's awards include Lady GaGa, Asher Roth, Kid Cudi, T.I. and Rihanna.
The 2009 ceremony, hosted by Russell Brand, will take place at Radio City Music Hall.
