Bad news for Elbow fans – bassist Pete Turner says it could be FIVE years until they release the follow-up to 'The Seldom Seen Kid'.
The 34-year-old says the band are feel under intense pressure to make an album that will surpass their coveted fourth record.
Turner told BBC6music that they have "lots of bits and bobs down" but warned it could be much longer until the finished album materialises.
He said: "If it's three, four, or five years time, this next album has got to be the absolute 'dog's' so we'll see."
Earlier this month, Guy Garvey said that Elbow had about 40 songs written which could make the shortlist for the album.
However, he said he had “no idea” when the record would see the light of day.
Roll on 2014!!!
