Michael Jackson 'Is Not Yet Buried', Father Joseph Says

Michael Jackson's body has yet to be buried, according to the singer's father Joseph.

On Monday, a lawyer for the Jackson family was quoted as saying that an interment had taken place after the singer's brain was returned to his family.

But in an interview with E! News, Joseph said his son was “not buried yet”.

His comments also conflict with a recent tabloid report which said the ceremony had taken place at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, in the same interview Joseph Jackson has also called for a shrine to be built in honour of the singer in Las Vegas.

Although the singer's family were unlikely to visit it, "the fans would come,” Joseph said.

As previously reported on Gigwise, toxicology tests on Jackson's body were completed this week, but the results are to be kept secret.

The police investigation into Jackson's death has come to focus on his alleged addiction to prescription medication.
