Jet frontman Nic Cester has vowed to continue to tour despite only being released from hospital following on an on-stage fall on Monday night.
Cester was released last night from University College Hospital, London after low blood pressure and dehydration were sited as the reasons for his double collapse and subsequent two night hospital stay.
The Australian band will play an acoustic set tonight at Parker McMillan for London’s This Feelings Club Night despite the fact that doctors have ordered Cester to rest.
A statement from the band's management said, “Hopping from airplane to airplane, city to city and country to country could compromise anyone’s health. Nic’s drive to give it his all and get up on stage to perform despite feeling ill is a testament to how strongly he and the band feel about “She’s A Genius” as a single and Shaka Rock as an album.”
The band are currently touring in support of their third album, 'Shaka Rock' set for release on 7th September, and are set to play the V Festival on 22nd and 23rd August.
