Neil Young is recovering is hospital after being treated in New York for a brain aneurysm.
The 59 year old underwent a successful operation on Saturday night according to yesterday’s Observer and is currently recuperating. Young will unfortunately miss his performance at the Canadian Juno Awards.
In a statement issued by his publicist Young said he was disappointed to miss the awards ceremony in Winnipeg: “I grew up there and was really looking forward to the show, as well as spending some time with my old friends and family.”
The first signs of Young’s illness became apparent in New York on March 14, as he was inducting the Pretenders into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame he experienced blurred vision.
