Michael Jackson's pet chimpanzee Bubbles is to release a tell-all diary about his time with the late singer.
The spoof book, Bubbles: My Secret Diary, From Swaziland to Neverland, is due out in October.
Publisher John Blake said the diary would contain a “collection of very personal and honest entries”, including details about the animal's “awful childhood” in research facility.
The diary will also unearth Bubbles' less well-documented personal problems, including a $2000-a-day banana addiction and his problems with depression.
“Behind his seemingly-perfect life of glamorous friends, gold-plated tyre swings, and personal chefs, there is a dark history of medical experiments, addiction and loss,” Blake told the Telegraph.
“But Bubbles has fought against his personal and professional problems and, with his help of man-pet Michael Jackson, he has grown to become bigger than King Kong - figuratively speaking."
Jackson and the animal became close friends after the star rescued him from a cancer research centre in 1985.
Bubbles joined Jackson when he moved into his Neverland home in 1987 and the pair would often wear matching clothes.
But the two friends were forced to go their separate ways in 2003 when Bubbles became overly aggressive.
Last month, it emerged the chimpanzee, who now lives in Florida, had not been told about Jackson's death on June 25.
