Reading Festival has banned fans from bringing flags into the arena area of the site for this years event.
Official organisers of the event simply stated on the Reading Festival website that "Flags won't be allowed in the arena. They restrict the view of people behind."
The increase in flags at festivals has created debate amongst fans with many believing they are a nuisance whilst others thinking they add to the atmosphere of the event.
There is currently no information regarding flag use at the Leeds Festival.
