The Los Angeles Coroner's office has delayed publishing Michael Jackson's autopsy results for a second time.
The results were expected last Friday, but in a statement yesterday assistant chief Ed Winter said they would now be released next week.
Jackson's cause of death has been deferred pending the outcome of toxicology tests, which can take up to six weeks to complete.
The manslaughter investigation into the singer's death on June 25 has come to focus on his alleged addiction to painkilling medication.
Earlier this week, police launched a second wave of raids on the home and office of Jackson's personal physician Dr Conrad Murray.
Meanwhile, Winter told the Associated Foreign Press that the coroner's office had issued a new subpoena to obtain the medical records of a Beverley Hills plastic surgeon.
The doctor, Lawrence Koplin, is “cooperating”, Winter said.
