Sir Paul McCartney wowed fans at the opening of the Citi Field stadium in New York on Friday (July 17).
Thousands braved heavy rain to watch the former Beatle play a career-spanning 30-song set at the new home of the New York Mets.
The gig marked a return of sorts for Sir Paul, who played at the baseball team's former home, the Shea Stadium, with the Beatles in 1965.
The singer also appeared alongside Billy Joel at the last concert to be held at the venue in July 2008.
He told fans on Friday: "Long time since I've been here.”
Sir Paul's set included a number of Beatles hits, including ' A Day In The Life' and 'Hey Jude'.
He also dedicated the song 'My Love' to his former wife Linda, describing her as a “New York girl”.
Meanwhile, Joel returned the favour by joining Sir Paul for a rendition of 'I Saw Her Standing There' during the encore.
