Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has expressed interest in writing the score for the forthcoming movie, The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Director Chris Weitz told Rotten Tomatoes that Kings of Leon had also been approached about contributing to the soundtrack.
The film, which stars Robert Pattinson, is due to be released in November.
"The criterion will still always be what's right for the movie at that given moment, but Thom Yorke is interested,” Weitz said.
”We might, if we're very lucky, get Kings of Leon to do something."
However, Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill told EW that the band were too busy to contribute to the score at the moment.
“I would have to write a song in my hotel room, which I think we could do, but I don't know,” he said.
“As of right now I'm more focused on getting some rest and writing another album."
New Moon is the second part of the four-part Twilight Saga, which tells the story of a vampire who falls in love with an ordinary schoolgirl.
The soundtrack to the first film featured songs by Muse, Paramore and Pattinson.
