The illuminating glove Michael Jackson wore on his 1984 Victory tour is set to go under the hammer in Los Angeles.
The glove features a combination of Austrian crystal rhinestones and tiny lights, which are charged by a small battery in the cuff.
It was one of two custom made for Jackson by the designer Ted Shell, who travelled with the star on every date of the tour to maintain the glove.
Jackson gave Shell one of the gloves and kept the other for himself.
Profiles in History auction house has valued the glove at £50,000, although that figure is expected to rise following Jackson's death.
"Michael Jackson was the undisputed King of Pop and this glove, used at the zenith of his career, is the most symbolic piece of his on-stage legacy,” Profiles in History president Joe Maddalena told The Sun.
"He will always be remembered as 'the gloved one' and one of the greatest cultural icons of the 20th century. This glove is the ultimate piece of Jackson's performance memorabilia."
A host of Jackson collectables have been put up for sale at auction houses around the world since the star's sudden death on June 25.
Earlier this year, Jackson halted a planned auction of memorabilia taken from his former Neverland home, despite initially giving it the go ahead.
