Yeah Yeah Yeahs paid tribute to Michael Jackson as they performed at the Glastonbury festival today.
Singer Karen O said before playing ‘Maps’: “Glastonbury 2009, we’re Yeah Yeah Yeahs. We’d like to dedicate this song to Michael Jackson.”
She then jokingly added: “We’d also like to dedicate it to all you mothers.”
Many of the performers at this year’s festival have paid tribute to Jackson, who died last Thursday.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs wowed fans on the Other Stage with a career spanning set, which included the tracks ‘Gold Lion’, ‘Heads Will Roll’ and ‘Zero’.
