50 Cent has said his long-awaited new album is “as close to perfect as it's going to get”.
'Before I Self Destruct' was originally due out last December, but was postponed so producer Dr Dre could work on Eminem's latest album.
Since the album was delayed, 50 Cent has recorded additional tracks with the producers Timbaland and Polow Da Don.
The rapper told MTV: “I feel like my album is as close to perfect as it's gonna get. I'm reaching the point to where if I have to continue to write it, I'll be overkilling it.”
He added: "When me and Timbaland go in, a lot of times it's a compromise.
"He's doing things that's a little different production-wise from what I would usually do.”
'Before I Self Destruct', which is the follow up to 2007's 'Curtis', is due to be released in September.
As previously reported on Gigwise, 50 Cent released a surprise mixtape on his official website last week.
