Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose fired and then rehired his manager three times last month, according to reports.
The singer is said to have been upset by Irving Azoff's attempts to re-promote the band's 2008 album 'Chinese Democracy', which failed to live up to expectation.
“Axl doesn’t want anything to do with it,” a source told the New York Daily News. “He won’t come out of his house.”
But a spokesperson for Azoff denied reports of a rift between the pair.
“We’re in daily contact with Axl, and we look forward to continuing to support him and Guns N’ Roses,” the spokesperson said.
'Chinese Democracy' was released in November following a fifteen year wait. But the album was poorly received by critics, and failed to reach number one in the US.
Recent reports had claimed Guns N' Roses were in talks for a series of summer comeback shows.
But Azoff would not offer a direct comment about the claims in an interview with Rolling Stone in March.
