Pete Doherty Arrested For 'Taking Drugs' On BA Flight

Pete Doherty was arrested at a Swiss airport at the weekend for allegedly taking drugs on a British Airways flight.

The 30-year-old was flying from London to Geneva on Friday night (June 5) for a gig at the Neuchatel Open Air Festival when cabin crew found him slumped in the toilet.

Doherty was returned to his seat for the remainder of the flight but was arrested upon arrival at the airport after staff reportedly found a hypodermic needle in the restroom.

The singer was charged with an unspecified offence and was fined before being released on Saturday afternoon to play the festival.

A Geneva police spokesperson, said: "We were contacted by the captain of a BA flight and a passenger was controlled by the police. He was charged but I cannot say what with. He paid a fine and was allowed to go."
