Who Can Replace Paramore As Robert Pattinson's Twilight House Band?

On paper, it seems like a pretty good deal. A band agrees that two of their songs can be included on the soundtrack to a new film about vampires, which then explodes into one of the biggest teenage movie franchises of the 21st century.

But for Paramore, donating their hits 'Decode' and 'I Caught Myself' to the soundtrack for Twilight was enough.

Drummer Zac Farro has this week revealed they won't be contributing any music to the score for the Twilight sequel, New Moon, because "we don't want to be, like, the vampire house band”. Farro also dashed hopes of their songs appearing on the third and fourth movies as well. “We don't want to seem like we're trying to get in every single movie they put out,” he moaned.

Those familiar with the Stephanie Meyer's bloodsucking saga will know all too well that the Twilight dealt with some pretty heavy teenage angst as vampire Edward Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, failed to resist the urge to fall in love with schoolgirl Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). Consequently, the dark, looming guitar riffs and lovelorn lyrics of 'Decode' were pretty much the perfect fit for the first movie alongside the likes of Muse's 'Supermassive Black Hole' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' by Linkin Park.

But with Paramore out of the picture for New Moon, which – as those of us who have read the book will know - sees the Twilight Saga get even more torn and twisted, just who is best suited to replace them?

    • Anything to do with Paramore being a "christian" rock band? I thought Jesus only did 13 piece bands anyway.

    • Jag Star would be a great choice rivalling Paramore's Hayley Williams strong rocker chic vocals. Relatively indie band and huge potential. Choices above don't fit the emotional climate of Stephanie Meyer's second novel. Nor do they follow the author's previous music selections. Feelings of betrayal, love lost, and searching all represent this novel. Other suggestions: Evanescence (Missing), Missy Higgins, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (Guardian Angel), Adele, Kings of Leon, of c

    • thats a pretty hard choice, what about Fly Leaf? I love the sound of female front bands, if i could persuade Paramore to do the gig again I would. The blonde majority is alright and so is Hey monday. or just choose bands from stephenie meyers playlist for the books. I think switchfoot, fuel, and , incubus have a similar sound too

    • I'd like to see Interpol on the soundtrack actually. There's a certain melancholy to their songs that would work well with New Moon.
