Kanye West has said he regards himself as the hip-hop equivalent of NBA star Michael Jordan and singer Michael Jackson.
The rapper made the comparison during an interview with MTV, in which he also revealed he was working on a new album.
"As far as rapping goes, how can I say this? Jordan, Michael Jackson - it's what I do," he said.
West revealed he was ready to “bust another rap album” after experimenting with auto-tune on 2008's '808s and Heartbreak'.
"Lyrics right now, they're awes-mazing. They're basically untouchable,” he said of his new material.
“I'm about to take it to a whole other level. I'd be scared if I was not me."
As previously reported on Gigwise, West recently finished a second recording session with Jay-Z for the rapper's forthcoming 'Blueprint 3' album.
West, who is producing the effort, said Jay-Z was taking his time with the release.
