Morrissey has been forced to cancel the first of three concerts at London's Brixton Academy.
The gig had been due to take place tomorrow (May 28), but has been called off to ensure the singer's "complete recuperation" from a throat problem.
"Event Organisers would like to apologize to fans for the disappointment," a statement added.
Morrissey's two remaining gigs at the venue, on May 29 and May 30, are still scheduled to take place.
Tomorrow's cancellation is the latest in a growing list of gigs which have been postponed due to the singer's ongoing illness.
The former Smiths star cancelled a show at the Mile End Troxy Ballroom in East London last night, in addition to shows in Salisbury, Birmingham and another London date last week.
But the star was able to perform a gig in Manchester last Friday - a gig which coincided with his 50th birthday.
Ticketholders for tomorrow's cancelled gig are advised to hold on to their tickets, organisers said.
