On June 8, Kasabian release their third album, the brilliantly entitled 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum'. Gigwise today brings you an exclusive insight into the making of the record with this video of footage from the band's studio.

During the recording the band referenced influences as far and wide as Daft Punk, The Rolling Stones and The Clash to define the sonics of the material.

The album's bizarre moniker from the Victorian West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum, a hospital for mental patients based near Wakefield and opened in 1818.
