Members of Korn and Slipknot have teamed up to record a charity song to raise money for hospitalised Deftones bassist Chi Cheng.
The 38-year-old star slipped into a coma following a car crash in Santa Clara, California last November.
Cheng was taken off life support systems earlier this month and is said to be in a semi-conscious state as he recovers.
His family have set up an appeal to help raise money to cover his medical bills and now Cheng's music industry pals have stepped up to help.
Korn bassist Reginald 'Fieldy' Arvizu and drummer Ray Luzier have joined forces with former member Brian 'Head' Welch, Slipknot guitarist Jim Root, and Sevendust's Clint Lowery to record an instrumental track to benefit Cheng and his family.
A release date for the unnamed song has yet to be announced.
