Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has experienced a sudden burst of writing inspiration during the band's South American tour.
In a blog written after one of the band's gigs, Gallagher revealed he had nearly finished five new tracks during the jaunt.
He also paid tribute to the band's South American fans for being “truly amazing” during the tour.
“Had to scarper after the gig,” Gallagher wrote.
"Would have loved to have stayed and re-lived the 90s but the writing bug has gripped me.
“Nearly wrote 5 new songs on this leg alone! Gotta get them down while it's still happening.”
He added: “I speak directly to you people of South America. You have been truly amazing.
“It's been a privilege to play for you. The memories of this little tour will live with me for a long time. Mucho gracias and obrigado.”
Oasis' world tour restarts in their hometown of Manchester on June 4th.
