White Lies frontman Harry McVeigh has revealed that the band will not be writing any new material this year due to their hectic touring schedule.
McVeigh explained that he and co-writer, bassist Charles Cave, find it difficult to write on the road and prefer to create new songs at home.
McVeigh told the BBC: "Me and Charles when we start writing the very basics of a song we need to be in the comfort of my home.
"Unfortunately we are very very busy touring a lot this year. We're not a band who can write on the road.
"In early 2010 I think we'll try and get back into my house and sit at my keyboard and write some new stuff."
White Lies are set to have a busy summer with festival appearances at Latitude, Reading/Leeds and T in the Park already scheduled.
