Michael Jackson's O2 Arena shows are set to have production costs of upwards of $20 million it has been revealed.
There are now just four weeks to go until the King of Pop takes to the stage in London and the promoters of the show AEG are promising fans the ultimate live extravaganza.
"Originally we tried to keep the show down to 90 minutes, but Michael has so many must-do songs in his repertoire that the shows now will be two-plus hours," AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips told Billboard.
Although Phillips remained tight lipped on exact details of the stage show, he did say that the show will include, "the most cutting edge ever employed on a tour. We're using technology that's never been used before in live entertainment."
Going on to talk about the rehearsals which Jackson is currently undertaking in Los Angeles, Phillips enthused: We're using two soundstages, and Michael's working in one with production designers and choreographer/director Kenny Ortega and associate director Travis Payne.
“And in the other one the dancers and the band - killer musicians - are rehearsing the set and the choreography for each song."
