Amy Winehouse is planning on moving to St Lucia permanently, it’s been reported.
The singer is said to have told friends that she wants to escape the “stress and trauma” of living in the UK.
Winehouse has been a guest on the Caribbean island on and off for the last five months.
“She has made so many friends in St Lucia and says it feels like home,” a source told The Sun newspaper.
“When she returned to the UK in March she felt like a total outsider."
The unnamed friend said the singer had her “heart set” on a particular house that is near a beach.
Winehouse is using her current stay in St Lucia to record the follow-up to 2006’s ‘Back To Black’.
The record is expected to be released before the end of 2009.
