Bat For Lashes has revealed that her main influence is TV presenter and naturalist Sir David Attenborough.
The singer, real name Natasha Khan, says that many of her musical themes directly nod towards nature and the general 'spiritual' experience of watching a show narrated by the 82-year-old legend.
Khan enthused to the BBC: "I absolutely love David Attenborough! I think he is like a prophet of our times.
"It's almost a religious, spiritual experience watching his programmes, because we're so disconnected from nature.
“How dumb are we that we live in concrete? I find it amazing."
