US rapper Eminem has admitted that his new single is a deliberate attack on celebrity culture.
‘We Made You’, which was given its world premiere yesterday, mocks a host of stars, including Amy Winehouse, Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Alba.
In the song’s video, the rapper is portrayed as a rock star while look-a-likes are cast as the ridiculed celebrities.
Speaking to MTV, Eminem said: "There's some celebrity bashing in it.
“I wanna say it's not necessarily intentional bashing in it; it's not necessarily taking deliberate shots at people.
“Yes, it is. What the **** am I talking about?"
The rapper added that he hoped his appearance as a rock star in the video would help him attract women.
"Hot chicks who don't want me, I'm telling them they do," he said.
"It's kind of like a reverse-psychology thing, and I'm gonna see if the record comes out and it works."
‘We Made You’ is the first single from the rapper’s long-awaited comeback album ‘Relapse’, which is out next month.
