Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has spoken about Madonna’s recent attempt to adopt a second child from the African country of Malawi.
Writing on his tour blog from the Far East, Gallagher claimed he hadn’t read a newspaper “for weeks”, before appearing to allude the pop star’s recent adoption bid.
“Is it true that Madonna is trying to buy Shaun-Wright Phillips from Man City?” he wrote. “Say it ain't so!”
As previously reported on Gigwise, a judge in Malawi last week rejected Madonna’s attempt to adopt four-year-old Chifundo (Mercy) James from a local orphanage.
Elsewhere in his message to fans, Gallagher also said he was “suspicious” of the number of British people he has seen abroad.
“What are they doing here? Buying cheap handbags for fat birds back home? Dunno,” he wrote.
