A song which criticises R&B singer Chris Brown over his alleged assault against girlfriend Rihanna has been receiving widespread play on US radio.
'My Flow So Tight (Anti-Breezy)' by the Smoke Jumpers includes the line: “My flows so tight and the beat's so sick, Chris Brown should get his ass kicked.”
The track has been playlisted by radio stations in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, according to the Press Association.
Brown is due in court today after he was charged with assault over the alleged incident in February.
Smoke Jumpers member CW Griz said the group wanted the track to highlight how “not enough people were speaking out” against Brown.
"I was really upset with the way a lot of celebrities and people were handling the situation," he said.
Unspecified proceeds from the song will be donated to charities which benefit women who have suffered domestic abuse.
The rapper, who refused to give his real name, added: "We're not trying to take advantage of a horrible situation. We want to take a positive stance."
Brown lost a number of sponsorship deals following the alleged altercation with Rihanna, which happened hours before the pair were due to appear at the Grammy Awards.
