I Am Austin Win King Of The Mountain At Snowbombing

I Am Austin last night walked home with 2000 Euros and the crown of Gigwise King Of The Mountain 2009 after a tight contest in Austria.

The four finalists – I Am Austin, Walk. Don't Walk, The Ragamuffins and Snowbyrds – all played 25 minute sets at the Sports Bar in Mayrhofen on the third night of Snowbombing.

All four bands received a great reception from the crowd,many of whom were clad in fancy dress and ready for another night of partying.

After all four bands had completed the sets the judges were split with each act gaining at least one vote.

However, it was I Am Austin who managed to edge the contest and they were overjoyed when Gigwise announced the results.

The two piece from North Wales then played their second set of the day to a now packed Sports Bar, almost deafening everyone watching with their drum and bass combination which reminded many of DFA 1979.
