The Osbourne family’s new TV show, Osbournes: Reloaded, has been panned by critics in the US.
EW TV said the show, which features Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly, and Jack, was “just pathetic”.
The Washington Post described the programme as “a revolting debacle” that “could make history as the first TV show ever to be recalled for fear of poisoning the atmosphere”.
Osbournes: Reloaded, which began on the Fox network last night (March 31st), documents the family as they set up stunts on members of the public.
In a sketch where the Osbournes work in a drive-through restaurant, Kelly Osbourne shouted at a customer: "Are you ****ing deaf?"
Another stunt saw a woman demand that her boyfriend agree to marry her before the end of the opening episode.
The family have previously been praised for their appearances on TV, including the hugely popular Osbournes reality show.
But their latest TV outing had already generated disapproval before it was aired.
A Florida TV station, WPGX, refused to show the programme after watching a six-minute preview.
David Cavileer said the content was “inappropriate” and the family’s bad language obvious despite attempts to bleep it out.
EW’s critic concluded that the show was “repulsive, repellent, ridiculous”.
