Outkast rapper Andre 3000 has been arrested and charged after he was caught driving at 109 mph on an highway in Atlanta.
The rapper, real name Andrew Benjamin, was stopped by police in his Porsche in the early hours of Saturday morning for speeding in a 65 mph zone.
Benjamin was bailed on a $1,200 bond and is due to appear in court on April 29th, the Associated Press news agency reported.
The rapper is understood to have told Police he was going driving fast because he missed an exit slipway and had to turn around.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Outkast are due to begin work on their new studio album this year.
