Michael Jackson is not attending the funeral of reality TV star Jade Goody, her publicist has said.
Tabloid reports over the weekend claimed the singer had told Goody's husband Jack Tweed that he would be attending the service this weekend.
But Goody's publicist, Max Clifford, told Sky News: "Michael was never, ever coming, it was never on the agenda.
“He also feels the focus of the funeral should be about her and her family.”
Clifford added that Jackson, who befriended Goody after his brother, Jermaine, appeared alongside her on Celebrity Big Brother, had sent a message of condolence to her family.
Jackson acknowledged that Goody was “a brave girl and that her message will save a lot of lives”, Clifford added.
Goody, 27, died earlier this month following a high-profile battle with cervical cancer. A funeral will take place on April 4th.
