Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty has been commissioned to write a drama series for the BBC, it's been reported.
The singer is understood to have attended a meeting with BBC creative bosses in London on Tuesday (March 24th).
A source told The Sun newspaper that the series was a “Skins-style show on the dark side of the music industry”.
“They want a pilot episode written in the next six weeks which will become a series, if he can come up with the goods,” the unnamed source said.
“Beeb bosses think Pete has a creative streak that will produce some gritty TV. He’s seen it all as a hellraising rock star, so they want his experiences written in.”
Doherty is currently on a UK tour in support of his debut solo album 'Grace/Wastelands'.
