Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has been captured on Google's new Street View service, it's been claimed.
Fans have identified a man, who can be seen outside a pub in Camden, London, as Gallagher, even though his face has been blurred by Google's face recognition technology.
Craig Cooper, who spotted the similarity, told the Sun newspaper he believed Gallagher was “the most high-profile celeb” to be captured on Street View.
“If there’s one man you’d recognise having a pint, it’s Liam Gallagher,” he added. “He’s often in The Queens.”
A spokeswoman told the newspaper that the man was “very possibly” Liam, who is believed to have been in London when the images were taken last June.
The Street View software, which launched in the UK earlier this month, allows people to view cities around the UK at street level.
But it has been widely criticised by privacy campaigners.
Lobby group Privacy International yesterday (March 24th) filed a formal complaint claiming members of the public were still identifiable.
