M.I.A Names New Born Baby 'Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman'

M.I.A has named her new born baby Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman, according to US media reports.

Speculation over the baby's real name has been rife ever since the singer gave birth to the child shortly after last month's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Earlier this month, M.I.A condemned online reports which claimed she had name the child Ickitt.

In a message on her MySpace page, she said she hadn't released the baby's name because she “didn't think it was news”.

But celebrity website TMZ has today (March 23rd) obtained copies of a birth certificate which it claims states the baby's full name is Ikhyd Edgar Arular Bronfman.

The certificate also appears to show that M.I.A was born on July 18th 1975. Her previous publicly reported date of birth was July 17th, 1977.
