Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced plans to record their first new album since 2003's 'Vicious Cycle'.
The as-yet-untitled project will be the group's first release as part of a new deal with Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records.
The album will also mark their first batch of new material since the death of founding member Billy Powell in January.
Meanwhile, Lynyrd Skynyrd will embark on the second leg of their Rock and Rebels tour with Kid Rock in June.
The 22-date tour includes shows in Florida, Buffalo and Atlanta.
