Prince is to stage a three night residency on the US chat show, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

The singer, who releases three new albums later this month, will perform live from March 25th-27th.

It will mark the first time one of Leno's musical guests has performed for three consecutive nights.

Prince will also appear on Leno's final show on May 28th, it's been announced.

As previously reported on Gigwise, Prince is scheduled to release a three-disc CD exclusively in Target stores and on the company's website on March 29th.

The release will include two new albums and another by Prince's protégé Bria Valente. The package will cost $11.98.

  • NBC 11:30 PM but last night Prince didn't come on until close to the end, 12:15 AM or so. Last night's show was amazing
