Michael Jackson became the first artist in British television history to fill an entire advert break last night (March 8th).
The singer broadcast a three-minute prime-time advert during ITV's Dancing On Ice to promote his upcoming concert residency at the O2 Arena in London.
The advert, which featured footage from Jackson's past live shows, is believed to have cost the singer £1million.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Jackson will play at least ten shows at the O2 Arena in July as part of his This Is It tour.
Over one million fans are already thought to have registered for a ticket pre-sale, which opens at 7am on Wednesday (March 11th).
Tickets will go on general sale at 7am on Friday (March 13th) priced between £50 and £75.
