Kings of Leon's 'Sex On Fire' has become the biggest-selling download single of all time in the UK.
The track bypassed the previous record holder, Leona Lewis's 'Bleeding Love', which sold 547,000 digital copies.
Kings of Leon already hold the record for the biggest-selling digital album of all time in the UK with 'Only By The Night'.
The album, which is currently at number two in the chart, has sold over 560,000 copies.
Columbia managing director, Mike Smith, told The Sun newspaper the album had “come into its own in the digital age”.
“Despite only being released five months ago it is now the biggest-selling digital album of all time in the UK,” he said.
“In addition, this week 'Sex On Fire' became the single biggest downloaded track since the birth of the UK digital chart.”
