Amy Winehouse has been charged with assault following an alleged incident last year.
It's claimed that the 25-year-old hit a fan at the End of Summer Ball in Berkeley Square, London on September 25.
Police have confirmed that Wino – who was just returned to the UK from an extended holiday in the Caribbean – reported to a police station yesterday morning (March 5) where she was questioned and charged with common assault.
The fan claims that Winehouse hit her in the eye after she asked the singer if she could take a photograph of them together, reports The Daily Mirror.
Winehouse has been summoned to attend the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on March 17.
Despite the charges, Winehouse appeared in jubilant spirits at a Ray Ban launch party at Selfridges yesterday evening.
