Prince is to release a three-disc CD later this month via the US retailer Target.

The release will include two new albums and another by Prince's protégé Bria Valente. The package will cost $11.98.

The three-disc CD will be available from Target stores and the company's website from March 29th, the Associated Press news agency says.

Prince joins a growing number of artists who have chosen to release material exclusively via a retail outlet.

Most recently, Bruce Springsteen released his new album, 'Working On A Dream', with Wal-Mart.
