US R&B star Chris Brown is to be “erased” from the promotional campaign for the forthcoming movie Bone Deep, according to reports.
The singer, who was questioned by police earlier this month following a complaint of assault, appears in the film alongside rapper T.I..
Brown was reportedly set to be the centrepiece of the promotional campaign for the movie, which is released in 2010.
However, according to Woooha, Sony Screen Gems are to remove him from movie posters and trailers, and bring T.I.'s role to the fore.
The singer is still expected to feature in the film.
Brown was arrested by police on February 7th following an altercation with a woman, reported to be his girlfriend Rihanna, in a suburb of Los Angeles.
The singer has already apologised over the incident and has said he is seeking counselling. Tabloid reports have also suggested he is attending anger-management classes.
Although the identity of the woman has yet to be revealed, a photograph apparently of Rihanna, which showed the singer with facial injuries, appeared online last week.
In a statement on Saturday (February 21st), Rihanna's spokesperson said: "At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown.”
Her spokesperson added that the singer wanted to “assure her fans that she remains strong”.
