Prince covered songs by The Rolling Stones and The Beatles during an intimate gig in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (February 22nd).
The singer performed for a small crowd at the Avalon club in Hollywood as part of the Oscars celebrations.
Taking to the stage in the early hours of the morning, Prince wowed fans with covers of The Rolling Stones' 'Honky Tonk Woman' and 'Come Together' by The Beatles.
He also played a cover of 'The Middle' by Jimmy Eat World alongside a number of his own hits.
According to Rolling Stone, fans were asked to queue up for tickets to the concert, which cost $100 each.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Prince is preparing to release three new albums in 2009.
