Alice In Chains, Machine Head Added To Sonisphere

Alice In Chains, Machine Head and Avenged Sevenfold are amongst the spate of new acts confirmed for the Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth.

Also joining the line-up at the inaugural two-day rock festival will be Thin Lizzy and The Sword, the latter were personally hand-picked by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich.  

As previously reported on Gigwise, Linkin Park will headline the opening day on August 1st while Metallica will do the honours the following evening on the 2nd.
